Frapstr Joins the Social

No, Frapstr isn’t going Zune, and give yourself a punch in the most sensitive area you can find for even thinking I’d stoop so low.  No, see, you may have noticed a pair of new buttons on the sidebar near the top.  The ones with the Twitter and Facebook icons?  Yeah, those.  Since Jody put Touch Podium on the social scene I thought it would be a good idea to do the same.  I’d been toying with it for a few weeks actually, but never got around to doing anything about it.  So now, I’ve finally created a Twitter account especially for Frapstr to tweet the latest reviews, as well as a Facebook group for you Facebook fiends who want to discuss apps and reviews and all things iPhone and iPod Touch.  Excerpts will automatically be posted to the Facebook group whenever new reviews appear, so you can get notified of new reviews either way — or both ways if you swing like that.

It seems to be the thing all the kids are doing these days, with all the tweeting and the twittering and the status updating and other such things us soon-to-be-fogies just don’t “get.”  I figure the easier it is for folks to keep up-to-date on the latest reviews, the better — and who knows?  Might even drive the viewship up a bit.  This addition joins some of the other improvements I’m slowly making on Frapstr to make it an overall better place to hang your hat.  I’m looking into modifying the Twitter Poster to be a little more descriptive, but my PHP sucks, so I’m going to have to work that out at some point.  In the mean time feel free to follow or join as you prefer.  I’ll be continuing to make improvements over the coming weeks as I am able, possibly even culminating in giving the site a thematic overhaul at some point so that it’s all good and prettified and stuff.

Now though, I need sleep.  Badly.
